Return Policy & Terms of Sale
At Proven Part, we are committed to providing you with the highest quality outdoor power equipment and parts. To ensure we can maintain our inventory and competitive pricing, we strictly adhere to the following return guidelines.
1. General Return Requirements
Returns on eligible items must be made within 30 days of the original purchase date.
- You must present a valid original receipt or proof of purchase.
- Valid photo ID may be required for returns.
- Items must be in new, resalable condition.
2. In-Stock Parts & Accessories
Returns on mechanical parts (belts, blades, filters, cables) and accessories that are normally stocked in our inventory are accepted under the following conditions:
- Restocking Fee: All returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
- Condition: Parts must be in their original, unopened packaging. Parts that have been opened, attempted to be installed, or are greasy/dirty cannot be returned.
3. Special Order Parts
Parts that were specially ordered for you (not normally stocked in our inventory) are subject to a higher fee to cover vendor return costs:
- Restocking Fee: Special Order returns are subject to a 35% restocking fee.
- Freight: Original shipping/freight charges paid for the special order are non-refundable.
4. Electrical Parts
Due to the sensitive nature of electrical components (Ignition coils, switches, solenoids, clutches, regulators, etc.), strict guidelines apply:
- Condition: Electrical parts must be new and never installed.
- Restocking Fee: If the part is confirmed new and uninstalled, the return is subject to a 35% restocking fee.
- Non-Returnable: We cannot accept returns on electrical parts that have been plugged in, bolted on, or tested. If the sealed packaging is broken or the part shows signs of installation, the return will be denied.
5. New Power Equipment
- All Sales Final: To ensure the integrity of the machines we sell, all New Power Equipment sales are final.
- No Returns: We do not accept returns or exchanges on mowers, trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, generators, or other power equipment once the unit has been purchased and left the facility. This applies to both used and unused units.
6. Used & Pre-Owned Equipment
- All Sales Final: All Used Equipment sales are final and cannot be returned or exchanged.
- "As-Is" Condition: Unless explicitly stated otherwise in writing on your bill of sale, all used equipment is sold "AS-IS" with no warranty expressed or implied.
- Risk: The buyer assumes all responsibility for the repair and maintenance of the unit after purchase.
7. Non-Returnable Items
The following items are Final Sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:
- Liquids: Opened oils, lubricants, or fuel additives.
- Clearance Items: Items marked as "As-Is" or "Final Sale."
- Installed Parts: Any part that shows signs of installation or use.
8. Defective New Equipment (Warranty)
While we do not accept returns on whole equipment, your purchase of new equipment is protected against defects:
- Coverage: Defects in materials or workmanship are covered by the Manufacturer’s Warranty.
- Service: If you experience a mechanical issue, please bring the unit to our Service Department. We are authorized to perform warranty repairs.
- Procedure: Warranty issues are handled via repair, not by exchanging the unit for a new one.
9. Refunds
Refunds will be issued based on the original form of payment, less the applicable restocking fee.
- Credit/Debit Cards: Refunds will be credited back to the original card used. Please allow 3-5 business days for the refund to appear on your statement.

Cash Purchases:
- Refunds of $200.00 or less will be paid in cash.
- Refunds exceeding $200.00 will be issued via a company check.
- Check Purchases: Refunds for purchases made by personal or business check will only be issued after the original check has successfully cleared our bank.
10. AI-Generated Information Disclaimer
We are not responsible for inaccurate product descriptions, compatibility claims, or pricing provided by third-party AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, AI search agents). All official specifications are maintained on our website listings. Returns requested due to "wrong descriptions" provided by an AI tool are subject to our standard restocking fees and return conditions, as these are not considered merchant errors.
